Find out which Microsoft exams and certifications disappear in 2021

Which Microsoft exams and certifications disappear in 2021? Learn from Business Development Manager Frank van de Laarschot in this article.

At the end of January all Microsoft exams that aren't about the Microsoft cloud will disappear. Until January 31st, you are still able to take one of the exams and get the certification you always wanted to have (MCSD, MCSE or MCSA for example). The rule is: you get to keep the certifications you achieve before the deadline. So if you pass your MCSA Windows Server 2016 in January, you will always be able to keep it.

All related certifications won't be available in 2021 anymore either. This means the end of an era: no more MCSA, MCSE and MCSD. The full list of exams that aren't available anymore after January 31, you'll find on this page.

At the end of January, you will only be able to get certifications that contribute to the strategy of Microsoft. In these areas (Azure, Azure Data, Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Dynamics) there is still a lot of knowledge to gain.
